Vinicius Between Brilliance and Failure at Real Madrid
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" confirmed that Vinicius Junior had a mixed night against Manchester City, excelling in creating goals but failing to shine in penalty kicks with Real Madrid.
The newspaper clarified that Vinicius added his 31st assist in the Champions League against City, equaling Cristiano Ronaldo's record during his time with Real Madrid. This makes him the fifth-highest assist provider in the history of the tournament, behind Cristiano "42", Angel Di Maria "41", Lionel Messi "40", and Neymar "33".
The newspaper added that the Brazilian does not have the same proficiency in taking penalty kicks, as he is the second penalty taker for Real after Kylian Mbappe, but he missed 5 out of 15 penalty kicks with the team.
In the UEFA Champions League, he took four penalty kicks and scored only two goals, clearly showing that penalty kicks are not one of his strengths.
