The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that the German coach Hans Flick of FC Barcelona is considering resting several of his players in the upcoming match against Sevilla in the Spanish League, in preparation for the decisive second leg against Newcastle United in the UEFA Champions League.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Flick is considering giving some players a rest after the significant effort the team put into its last three intense matches, against Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey, then Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, and finally against Newcastle in the Champions League.

The newspaper explained that the German coach wants to assess the fatigue levels of his players before the match against Sevilla scheduled for Sunday at Spotify Camp Nou, as he aims to maintain the readiness of the key players ahead of the anticipated European clash.

The newspaper pointed out that among the most prominent players likely to be included in the rotation policy are Bernal, who suffered from muscle cramps, along with Raphinha, who did not perform with his usual precision, and Robert Lewandowski, who struggled with defensive duties in the last match.

Nevertheless, Flick has not yet made a final decision, as the German coach is accustomed to making three to four changes in the starting lineup for each match. However, this time he will also consider Newcastle's physical strength before the return leg in the Champions League.

In this context, Flick pointed out after the last match the significant pressure the team is facing, saying: "Perhaps we have reached this stage feeling a little tired."

He added: "They are a very strong team, and we had to choose the right moments in the match, but we did not succeed in doing so."
