Before the end of the first half, Valverde continued his brilliance by scoring the third goal in the 42nd minute, capitalizing on a pass from Brahim Diaz, and striking a superb shot into Donnarumma's net to complete a remarkable hat-trick in the match.

In the second half, Vinicius was awarded a penalty in the 57th minute, but he missed it after a brilliant save by Donnarumma, who prevented his team from conceding a fourth goal.

With this major victory, Real Madrid takes a step towards the quarter-finals, ahead of the second leg match that will take place next week at the Etihad Stadium.
