The newspaper "Youm7" reported that Danish coach Jes Thorup, the head coach of Al-Ahly, is choosing between Mohamed Sherif and Marwan Osman to lead the team's attack as starters against Tunisian club Esperance in the African Champions League.

Al Ahly will face Esperance next Sunday in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.

Despite Torop's recent consistent reliance on Marwan Osman, his lack of experience in handling major public confrontations has led the coaching staff to consider reinstating Mohamed Sherif to the starting lineup to benefit from his field experience.

The newspaper confirmed that despite Torop's current preference for Marwan Osman Otaka as the primary choice in Al Ahly's attack, the final decision on whether to start with him or with Mohamed Sherif will be made after the final training session in Tunisia.
