Vinicius Agency Resolves Debate on His Move to Al-Ahli Saudi
The agency of Brazilian star Vinicius Junior has resolved the growing controversy surrounding his name being linked to a move to Saudi club Al-Ahli during the upcoming summer transfer window, following reports of a substantial offer to sign him.
Thiago Verdas, a member of the agency responsible for managing the affairs of Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior, confirmed that Al Ahly has not made any official offer to sign Vinicius Junior so far.
Veritas clarified, in statements reported by the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," that the rumors about official negotiations between the Jeddah club and the Brazilian star have no basis in truth.
The players' agent pointed out that Vinicius is not considering a move to the Saudi Pro League at the moment, due to several factors related to his sports career.
He added that the player cannot consider such a move at the moment, especially since he is under contract with Real Madrid, in addition to other personal and professional factors.
Media reports had mentioned Al-Ahly's desire to sign Vinicius with a massive financial offer that could total up to one billion euros, including the value of the deal and the player's salaries.
Vinícius Júnior moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 from Flamengo, and his current contract with the Spanish club extends until June 2027.
The Brazilian star played 39 matches with Real Madrid in all competitions this season, during which he scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists, while his market value is 150 million euros according to the Transfermarkt website.
