Pochettino Nominated to Coach Real Madrid
Tuesday 10-03-2026
ESPN has revealed that Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino is one of the leading candidates to take over as coach of Real Madrid at the end of the current season, should Álvaro Arbeloa depart.

According to the report, club president Florentino Perez holds the Argentine coach in high regard, especially since his name has been linked with managing the royal team on several occasions in recent years, particularly when he was leading Tottenham Hotspur.

Pochettino currently holds the position of head coach for the United States national team, where he is set to lead the American team in the World Cup finals this summer.

The report also indicated that German coach Jürgen Klopp is among the names considered to take over if the club decides to part ways with the current coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

The future of Arbeloa with the team is expected to be determined based on Real Madrid's results until the end of the season, especially since the club is still competing for both the La Liga and the UEFA Champions League titles.
