The Association of Supporters and Fans of Renaissance Berkane expressed its dissatisfaction with the way the match between their team and Wydad Athletic Club was covered. The match took place last Sunday as part of the fourteenth round of the professional league.

The association sent a message to Faisal Al-Araishi, the Director General of the National Broadcasting and Television Company, expressing its protest over what it described as irregularities in the television broadcast of the match.

The association clarified that the live broadcast showed a clear disparity in the replay of footage, noting that scenes related to the Wydad Athletic Club were replayed quickly and from multiple angles, while footage of Renaissance Berkane was shown from distant angles or after a noticeable delay.

The association also addressed the incident of Youssouf Dayo's shirt being pulled by Nordin Amrabat, considering that it warranted a penalty kick. They emphasized that the replay of the incident came about three minutes later and from a distant angle.

The association believes that such incidents raise questions about the principle of equal opportunities among clubs, especially regarding the way matches are covered in the tournament.

The association concluded its message by calling on the relevant authorities to open an investigation into the incident and to take the necessary measures to ensure fair and impartial television coverage for all clubs participating in the competition.
