Al Hilal Legend Criticizes Al Hilal for Choosing En-Nesyri
Mohamed Al-Deayea, the legendary goalkeeper of Al-Hilal, criticized the decision of Al-Hilal's management to sign Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri during the last winter transfer window.
In a television interview, Al-Daeea pointed out that the departure of French star Karim Benzema has had a clear impact on the team's character on the field.
He explained that Benzema was a leadership figure within the team, emphasizing that his presence provided the team with significant strength and an impactful presence in matches.
He added that replacing a player of Benzema's caliber with another deal like En-Nesyri was not the best decision in his view, considering that the team has declined technically after the departure of the French star.
Benzema moved to Al-Hilal during the winter transfer window, while Al-Hilal signed En-Nesyri to strengthen the attack and compensate for the significant absence left by the French striker.
So far, Al-Nassiri has participated in seven matches with Al-Hilal, during which he successfully scored three goals and assisted one.
For his part, former Al-Ittihad star Hamad Al-Montashari defended the Moroccan striker, asserting that judging his performance at the moment might be premature.
Al-Muntashiri explained that Al-Nassiri possesses good offensive capabilities, but he needs tactical support and suitable opportunities on the field to showcase his true abilities.
Al-Ittihad currently holds the sixth position in the Saudi Roshn League standings with 42 points after 25 rounds of the competition.
