Theodore Faces Critical Deadline to Save His Position at Tottenham
Monday 09-03-2026
TEAMtalk confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur's interim manager, Igor Tudor, faces a critical deadline of just four matches to prove his ability to retain his position, following three consecutive losses in the Premier League, with the club identifying two potential replacements in case he is dismissed.

Theodor took over coaching the team following the dismissal of coach Thomas Frank, under whose leadership Tottenham struggled and slipped towards the relegation zone after a series of poor results. However, the positive change the club officials hoped for did not materialize, leaving the team just one point away from the relegation zone, without securing any wins in the last 11 Premier League matches since December 28th.

The four decisive matches include Atletico Madrid's second leg in the Champions League round of 16 on March 18, followed by an important Premier League match against Liverpool, then a crucial encounter against Nottingham Forest on March 22 in the battle for survival. The results of these matches are expected to determine Theodore's fate.

Meanwhile, the club continues to evaluate a range of options for taking over the team's leadership, whether on a temporary or long-term basis.
