Lamine Yamal, the star of Barcelona, continued his remarkable performance this season after leading his team to victory against Athletic Bilbao, thus confirming his best scoring season in his career so far.

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Yamal scored the winning goal for Barcelona in Bilbao, bringing his total to 19 goals in 36 matches this season, marking his best scoring record so far. This surpasses his previous season's record when he scored 18 goals in 55 matches, as well as the 2023/2024 season during which he scored 7 goals in 50 matches.

The report indicated that the young star continues to break records, having already reached 50 goals in his professional career so far, with 44 goals for Barcelona and 6 goals for his national team, at the age of just 18 years and 237 days.

To highlight the magnitude of this achievement, Lionel Messi reached 50 goals in his professional career at the age of 20 years and 315 days, while Cristiano Ronaldo reached the same number at the age of 21 years and 297 days.

The newspaper added that Yamal's numbers might not stop there, as he is close to breaking a historic record for the most goals scored by a player in a single competition before turning 19.

This record is currently held by former Spanish star Raúl González, who scored 19 goals in the 1995/1996 season before turning nineteen. Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal currently has 14 goals, and with 11 rounds remaining in the Spanish league, he has a real chance to surpass this record.
