Al-Nassr team secured a valuable victory against Neom with a 1-0 score in the match that brought the two teams together on Saturday evening as part of the 25th round of the Saudi Pro League.

The match was held at Al Awal Park Stadium in the capital, Riyadh, where Al-Nassr succeeded in securing a victory in the final minutes after a game that witnessed a fierce struggle between the two teams.

The Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus entered the match with a lineup that included Bento Matheus as the goalkeeper, with Sultan Al-Ghannam, Mohamed Simakan, Abdul-Ilah Al-Omari, and Iñigo Martinez in front of him.

In the midfield, Angelo, Marcelo Brozović, and João Félix participated, while the attack was led by the trio of Kingsley Coman, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, and Sadio Mané.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, as Al-Nassr failed to convert their chances into goals, with the team displaying a less than expected offensive performance for most of the half.

In the second half, the coaching staff attempted to invigorate the forward line, so Jesus made a substitution by bringing in Abdulrahman Ghareeb instead of Abdullah Al-Hamdan in an effort to break Neom's defensive block.

As the match was heading towards a draw, the referee added seven minutes of stoppage time, during which the only goal of the match was scored, turning the result in favor of the home team.

The winning goal came from French defender Mohamed Simakan in the fifth minute of stoppage time, after João Félix executed a set-piece from outside the area, which Simakan converted with a powerful header into the net.

With this victory, Al-Nassr increased its tally to 64 points, taking the lead in the Saudi league standings by two points ahead of Al-Ahli, which is in second place. Meanwhile, Neom's tally remained at 32 points in eighth place.
