Compliance Imposes Fine on Jesus for Press Conferences
Saturday 07-03-2026
The Compliance Committee of the Professional League imposed a financial penalty on Portuguese Jorge Jesus, the head coach of Al-Nassr team, due to his absence from press conferences related to his team's matches in the Saudi League recently.

The committee's decision came after Jesus failed to attend the media conferences following the matches between Al-Nassr against Al-Riyadh and Al-Ittihad, within the 20th and 21st rounds of the Saudi Roshn League.

The absence of the Portuguese coach sparked much controversy, as some interpretations linked his stance to his solidarity with his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, who had previously expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's failure to secure strong signings during the winter transfer window.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" revealed that the Compliance Committee decided to impose a financial fine of 50,000 riyals on the Al-Nassr coach, as it is the body responsible for monitoring compliance with holding media conferences related to matches.

The newspaper clarified that the matter might not stop at this penalty, as it is possible that the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation may issue an additional decision related to delays or absences from media events.

In a related context, Al-Nassr team is preparing for an important match against Neom as part of the 25th round of the Saudi Roshan League, scheduled to take place on Saturday evening.

Al-Nassr enters the match in second place on the league table with 61 points, and the team from the capital aims to secure a win to reclaim the top spot in the competition from Al-Ahli Jeddah.
