Arab Contractors Coach Apologizes to Al Ahly and Its Fans
Islam Fathy, the coach of the Arab Contractors team, issued an apology to Al-Ahly Club for his actions during his team's match against the Reds on Thursday in the league.
Al Ahly defeated Al Mokawloon with a score of 3-1 in a match during the twenty-first round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The match witnessed an altercation between the Al Mokawloon coach and Al Ahly fans.
Fathi said in statements carried by the official website of Al-Mokawloon: "All apologies, respect, and appreciation to Al-Ahly club and its great fans, with all respect and appreciation to all clubs and their fans, as I have always done throughout my life."
He added: "It is not in my nature to offend any fans, and I respect all the clubs in the league. What happened in the Al-Ahly match was nothing more than on-field frustration and a tense reaction to some plays and refereeing decisions, but there was no intention on my part to offend the great Al-Ahly club or its magnificent fans."
