Press reports have revealed the features of the next step in the career of Moroccan coach Walid Regragui, following the end of his journey with the Moroccan national team after losing the 2025 African Cup of Nations final to Senegal.

The decision to leave came in adherence to a previous promise made by Regragui, which stipulated his resignation in the event of not winning a major title, prompting the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to officially accept the resignation.

The Moroccan coach thus concluded an important phase with the 'Atlas Lions,' marked by a historic achievement during the 2022 World Cup when the Moroccan team made an exceptional appearance that caught the world's attention.

According to the 'Foto Mercato' website, Regragui does not plan to embark on a new experience with national teams at the moment, preferring to return to coaching at the club level.

Sources reported that the Moroccan coach has already entered into talks with clubs active in the English Premier League and La Liga, reflecting his ambition to take on a new European challenge.

Conversely, Regragui rejected several coaching offers from Saudi clubs, preferring a sports project within the European continent during the upcoming phase.
