FIFA Fines Zamalek Due to Yannick Ferreira
The newspaper "Youm7" reported that Zamalek Club received a letter from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) stating that the club has been fined 160,000 dollars in favor of the former team coach Yannick Ferreira.
The football management at Zamalek Club had previously succeeded in reaching a settlement with the Belgian coach, stipulating that he would waive half of his remaining dues in exchange for a mutual termination of the contract. However, a liquidity crisis at the time hindered the payment of the amount and the completion of the agreement.
According to the newspaper, the Zamalek management intends to intensify its efforts in the coming days to amicably resolve this issue, in order to prevent any potential legal escalation and avoid additional sanctions on the White Club.
Zamalek is currently preparing to face Al Ittihad Alexandria tomorrow, Friday, in the 21st round of the Egyptian Premier League.
