The French newspaper L'Équipe revealed that coach Walid Regragui has officially ended his collaboration with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, after signing all the documents related to the termination of the contract between the two parties.

According to the same source, the departure of Regragui from the managerial role of the Moroccan national team was not surprising, as it had been discussed in recent weeks before being finalized in recent days following negotiations that concluded with an amicable agreement.

The newspaper added that the university is moving towards appointing Mohamed Wahbi, the coach of the under-20 national team, as the new head coach of the senior national team. His coaching staff will include João Sacramento and Youssef Hadji as assistants.

The university had previously indicated in a statement that it would reveal updates about the national team at the appropriate time, which leaves the sports community eagerly awaiting the official announcement of the new coach in the coming period.
