Previous reports mentioned official communication between Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad regarding Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, before negotiations halted due to financial reasons.

The name of Al-Hilal has been associated with interest in Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti, while several sources deny the existence of actual negotiations so far.
