The coach said, "It's the first time I've played with two creative midfielders behind the striker. We faced some issues and had to make adjustments. We changed our defensive style, especially in our areas by trying to press man-to-man, but we gave Como the advantage at times due to the slowness in closing down spaces on the flanks."

The Inter coach praised Como's style of play under the leadership of Cesc Fabregas, stating that the team excels at maintaining possession and drawing the opponent out to create space before striking: "They are skilled at circulating the ball and making you lose your positioning. We understood what was required of us, and we were fortunate at certain moments."

He pointed out that the short time between matches—only 72 hours—made preparation difficult, but the players quickly understood the instructions and gave their best.

In the absence of Lautaro Martinez and Angie Yuan Boni, and with Marcus Thuram not fully fit, Chievo relied on Andy Diouf in an advanced role to support Francesco Pio Esposito, with limited rotation of players ahead of the anticipated league match against Milan.

Regarding the match against Milan in the league: "We have four days before the game, we will see who is available, and then decide. What we showed tonight was not the usual Inter, and it might not have been enjoyable to watch, but the players handled the difficulty of the match in the right way."
