Barcelona received another setback in terms of injuries during their match against Atletico Madrid, as both Kounde and Alejandro Balde were forced to leave the pitch due to injuries, according to the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo'.

According to the same report, Kounde requested a substitution in the 11th minute after feeling pain in his right leg following a challenge on the right side, where he fell to the ground in pain. The newspaper indicated that the injury is related to the hamstring, which necessitated medical intervention, confirming the player's inability to continue the match. Immediately, coach Hans Flick decided to bring on Balde, moving Joao Cancelo to the right side.

Things did not go better for Balde, as the newspaper explained that he requested a substitution in the 69th minute after experiencing muscle pain, appearing more affected upon his exit compared to Kounde. Ronald Araujo came on in his place.

The injuries to Kounde and Balde add to the list of absences Barcelona is dealing with, as they await medical test results to determine the severity of the injuries.
