Jesus Promotes Under-21 Duo to Boost Al-Nassr Training Before Neom Clash
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Al-Nassr enlisted two promising players from the Under-21 team to participate in the first team's preparations for the anticipated match against Neom in the Saudi Roshn League.
This decision came after the postponement of the match between Al-Nassr and Al-Wasl in the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarter-finals, which was scheduled to take place on March 4 at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai. This allowed Jesus to open a new chapter to focus on the local league.
According to "Al-Riyadiyah" newspaper, the young goalkeeper Hassan Al-Minhali and midfielder Rakan Al-Ghamdi have been promoted from the under-21 team to participate in the group training held on Monday in preparation for the Neom match.
The promotion of goalkeeper Al-Menhali comes specifically to strengthen the goalkeeper position after goalkeeper Raghid Al-Najjar suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his knee, necessitating the search for ready alternatives to support the team in the upcoming period.
