Hefty Fine on Ashraf Ben Sharqi
Al-Ahly officials decided to impose a hefty financial fine on Moroccan Ashraf Ben Sharqi, following his objection and display of anger over the decision to substitute him during the match against ZED in the twentieth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
According to what was reported by the 'Kora Plus' website, Walid Salah El-Din, Al-Ahly's football director, emphasized to Ben Sharqi and all team players the necessity of adhering to the decisions of the technical staff led by Danish Jes Torup, and respecting instructions both on and off the field to maintain discipline within the team.
The report added that Al-Ahly's management also decided to impose a financial fine on the entire team following the 1-1 draw against ZED, resulting in the loss of two points in the race for the league title.
Al-Ahly currently occupies the third position in the league standings with 37 points, three points behind the leading team, Zamalek.
Al-Ahly is expected to prepare for a match against Arab Contractors next Thursday as part of the twenty-first round of the competition, in an effort to return to the path of victories.
