The Italian newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" reported that Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne is close to returning to group training with Napoli on Monday, after a long absence due to a hamstring injury since last October.

De Bruyne moved to Napoli in the last summer transfer window from Manchester City with a contract extending for two seasons until the summer of 2027. His absence affected the team in several competitions, as Napoli was eliminated from the group stage of the UEFA Champions League and the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia, and also fell out of contention for the Serie A title.

The newspaper clarified that the Belgian player has fully recovered and may be called up to participate in Napoli's upcoming match against Torino in the Italian league scheduled for next Friday.

It is noted that De Bruyne, aged 34, participated in 11 matches across various competitions this season, during which he scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists, reaffirming his influential role upon his return to the field.
