Al-Ittihad Club regained their winning rhythm after overcoming Al-Khaleej with a 1-0 victory in the match held on Friday evening at the Inma Stadium in Jeddah, as part of the 24th round of the Saudi Professional League.

The Portuguese Danilo Pereira decided the match in favor of the team by scoring the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute, granting his team three valuable points that restored balance after two consecutive setbacks.

The match saw a close contest in terms of possession, with Al-Ittihad holding 49% and making five attempts on goal, compared to four shots by Al-Khaleej during the course of the game.

The team appeared more organized in the second half, benefiting from the players' experience in managing the score, maintaining their lead until the final whistle without conceding a goal.

The club raised its tally to 42 points, advancing to fifth place in the Saudi Professional League standings, bolstering its hopes of further progress in the upcoming rounds.

On the other hand, Al-Khaleej's score remained frozen at 27 points, placing them in the eleventh position. It is worth noting that Al-Ittihad had drawn in the previous round with Al-Hazm with a score of 1-1, and before that, they had also drawn with the same result against Al-Hilal.
