Al-Ahli temporarily topped the Saudi Roshan League after a hard-fought victory over Riyadh with a score of 1-0, at the conclusion of the 24th round.

Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium hosted the match amidst a large crowd, and the encounter witnessed intense competition, missed opportunities, and disallowed goals, which heightened the excitement until the final moments.

Riyadh initiated an early offensive push, aiming to surprise Al-Ahli's defense, while the visitors relied on defensive organization and quick counter-attacks, maintaining balance throughout the first half.

The Riyadh player, Mohammed Al-Khaibari, sustained a head injury that required the game to be stopped. Additionally, the referee disallowed two goals for Al-Ahli due to offside, one by Roger Ibanez and the other by Ivan Toney.

With the start of the second half, Al-Ahli intensified its efforts through the flanks and short passes, while Al-Riyadh resorted to quick counterattacks in search of the opening goal.

The decisive moment came in the 75th minute with an own goal scored by Milan Borjan, giving Al Ahly the advantage. After five minutes of stoppage time, the referee announced the end of the match with Al Ahly winning 1-0.
