Officials of Al Ahly of Egypt have placed Amr Qalawa, the midfielder of Ceramica Cleopatra, within their interests to strengthen the midfield for the upcoming season. This comes as the departure of Malian Aliou Dieng approaches, who has decided not to extend his contract with the Red Castle, which is set to expire at the end of the current season.

According to Al-Watan newspaper, Al-Ahly's management has placed Qalawa on a list of candidates to strengthen the midfield. However, they have not yet entered into official negotiations with the Ceramica Cleopatra management, despite recent rumors about finalizing the deal.

The newspaper indicated that Al-Ahly's management is working on preparing a list of foreign candidates to join the team in the new season, as part of a comprehensive plan for renewal and replacement aimed at maintaining the team's strength and competing in all championships.

Al Ahly is preparing to face ZED FC next Saturday as part of the 20th round of the Egyptian Premier League, following their victory in the previous round against Smouha with a 1-0 win, thanks to a goal by Marwan Osman.
