Increasing Chances of Selling Parc des Princes to Paris Saint-Germain
Rachida Dati, the candidate for the position of Mayor of the French capital Paris, has expressed her openness to the idea of selling the Parc des Princes stadium to Paris Saint-Germain, a move that could end the ongoing debate about the stadium's future.
In statements to the French Radio Monte Carlo network, Rachida Dati said she is open to selling the Parc des Princes stadium to Paris Saint-Germain to resolve the current situation of the stadium.
She explained that the stadium requires at least 100 million euros for necessary renovations, noting that this amount can no longer be borne by the Paris city administration, especially since Paris Saint-Germain's management refuses to invest heavily in a stadium not owned by the club.
She added: "Today, the Parc des Princes stadium is outdated and in need of a comprehensive renovation, and there is a large and integrated project for the stadium to become a sports and cultural complex."
She concluded her statements by saying: "We will start negotiations to sell the Parc des Princes stadium to Paris Saint-Germain if I succeed in the elections, because I want this club to continue in the capital."
