Mbappe's Testimony After Hakimi's Case Referred to Trial
Fanny Colin, the lawyer of Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, revealed new information regarding the case before the French judiciary, following the decision to refer the file to trial.
During her appearance on BFM TV, Colan defended her client while simultaneously criticizing the account of the complainant who accuses the player of rape. She also touched upon the testimony of French star Kylian Mbappe, who was questioned by the police as part of the investigation.
According to the lawyer, Mbappé confirmed that his statements matched those of Hakimi, pointing to what he described as the "respectful behavior" for which the Moroccan player is known, and his appropriate conduct during the time they spent together.
Kolan added that Mbappe informed the investigators that Hakimi seemed "completely shocked" when notified of the accusation, asserting that he did not understand the background of these allegations or the basis on which they were made.
These statements were also reported by Radio Monte Carlo, at a time when judicial proceedings are ongoing, awaiting the outcome of the next phase of the trial, with no final verdict issued yet.
