Raul Asensio, Real Madrid defender, sent a reassuring message to the team's fans after being taken to the hospital following an injury he sustained during the match against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League.

The match witnessed one of the most worrying moments when Asensio had a strong collision with his teammate Camavinga during a joint aerial ball, and the defender fell off balance on the pitch and could not regain his balance, which required the medical staff to intervene for more than five minutes.

In the 77th minute, the player had to leave the field on a stretcher amid the concern of the team's fans, replaced by Austrian David Alaba. After the match, Asensio was taken to the hospital for further examinations.

Hours after the incident, Asensio posted a message on his Instagram account to reassure the fans, saying: "Thank you for all the support messages, it was just a scare, let's move to the next round, Hala Madrid."

On the sports front, Real Madrid defeated Benfica 2-1 at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, securing their qualification to the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. The team had gained an advantage with a goal in the first leg before confirming their superiority in the return leg.
