Umm Salal Announces Termination of Contract with Mahmoud Wadi
The Qatari club Umm Salal announced its gratitude to the Palestinian striker Mahmoud Wadi, wishing him success in his next step, after mutually agreeing to terminate the contract between them.
This announcement came after a short professional stint for the player with "Barzan Hawks" in the Qatar Stars League, where he joined the team in August 2025 from the Egyptian club Ghazl El Mahalla.
Mahmoud Wadi, nicknamed "The Tower" due to his towering height (1.88 meters) and strength in aerial duels, is considered one of the prominent forwards in the Palestinian national team, but his role has diminished in recent years.
Initially, he shone in Gaza with the Ittihad Khan Younis club, then played in the West Bank with Ahli Al-Khalil, before moving abroad to play professionally with the Jordanian Ahli club, where he achieved notable scoring successes.
He had numerous experiences in the Egyptian Premier League with clubs such as Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi, Pyramids, Tala'ea El Gaish, Al Mokawloon Al Arab, and Ghazl El Mahalla.
In Qatar, his last stint was with Umm Salal Club before officially announcing his departure today, Thursday, without having significantly participated with the team.
