Al-Hilal Approaches Annoying Record After Draw with Al-Taawoun
Wednesday 25-02-2026
The Al-Hilal team is close to matching an uncomfortable record in its history in the Saudi League, following its recent stumble against Al-Taawoun in the postponed tenth round of the Roshn Professional League.

The "Blue" team fell into the trap of a 1-1 draw during the match held at King Abdullah Stadium in Buraidah, missing the opportunity to reclaim the top spot in the standings.

Al Hilal increased its number of draws this season to 7 matches, continuing its series of tied results despite maintaining its unbeaten record so far.

The team achieved 16 victories in the current edition of the Saudi Roshan League, but it is now close to repeating the highest number of draws recorded in a single season.

Al Hilal previously reached 7 draws in the 2010-11, 2020-21, and 2021-22 seasons, while they had 8 draws in the 2017-18 and 2022-23 editions.

Al Hilal occupies the third position in the Saudi Professional League standings with 55 points after 23 rounds, which increases the importance of the upcoming rounds in the title race.
