The Portuguese player Rúben Neves, midfielder for Al-Hilal, made fiery statements following his team's 1-1 draw against Al-Taawoun in the postponed tenth round of the Saudi Roshn League.

Neves spoke angrily on the "Thamaneeya" channel, confirming that Al-Taawoun's goal came from a penalty kick. He noted that he accepts the decision but emphasized the need to apply the same standards in all matches.

The Al-Hilal player explained that having referees from different countries might lead to differences in interpreting refereeing situations, calling for the need to protect the Saudi league and maintain its competitive fairness.

Neves pointed out that the league is one of the few competitions where four clubs are still competing for the title, which requires unifying decisions to ensure equal opportunities for all.

He added: "We see handballs inside the penalty area in some matches without anything being called, as if some are playing basketball, while in today's match, the referee went to the video technology and awarded a penalty kick."

Regarding Al-Hilal's position in the standings, it was explained that the team was in second place until December, then took the lead in January after strong results, before currently dropping to third place.

Al-Hilal holds the third position in the Saudi Roshan League standings with 55 points, accumulated from 16 wins and 7 draws over 23 rounds, without suffering any losses.
