Moatamed Gamal: Happy with Achieving the Sixth Consecutive Victory in the League
Wednesday 25-02-2026
Zamalek coach Moatamed Gamal expressed his happiness after his team's victory over Zed FC in the league.

Zamalek secured a 2-1 victory over its counterpart Zed in a match held on Tuesday evening in the 19th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

In the press conference following the match, Moatamed Jamal said: "Zamalek was fighting to win in order to take the lead in the league. After scoring the lead goal, the team slightly retreated for security, and after the equalizer by Zed, Zamalek succeeded in coming back and scoring the winning goal."

He continued: "We talked to the players to achieve victory. The team is going through difficult circumstances, and my first match with the team was against Zed in the Egypt Capital Cup, and we lost the match. However, things have improved a lot, and I always state that the team includes the best players in Africa, and they believe in their abilities."

He added, "I am happy with achieving the sixth consecutive win in the league championship, and saddened by the loss against Ceramica in the Egypt Cup, but the future will be better."

He continued: "Juan Bezerra was substituted because he was fatigued due to the effort he put in during the match. The player missed another scoring opportunity due to a lack of luck in today's game. I disagree with those who talk about differences between Zamalek players and the opposing teams because my team includes the best players."

Moutamed Gamal concluded: "Mohamed Awad underwent an investigation and is awaiting the club's board decision. He will be an asset to the team if he returns to Zamalek. Meanwhile, Adam Kaid is suffering from a calf muscle injury and will join the team soon."
