Al-Hilal fell into the trap of a 1-1 draw against Al-Taawoun in the postponed match from the tenth round of the Saudi Professional League.

The match was held at Wolves Park Stadium in Al-Qassim, where Italian coach Simone Inzaghi started with a lineup that included Yassine Bounou, Theo Hernandez, Hassan Tambakti, Kalidou Koulibaly, Hamad Al-Yami, Ruben Neves, Mohamed Kanno, Sergej Savic, Salem Al-Dawsari, Malcom, and Marcos Leonardo.

In the 15th minute, Al-Hilal suffered a blow when Hamad Al-Yami sustained a knee injury, forcing Inzaghi to make an early substitution by bringing in Muteb Al-Harbi in his place.

Al-Hilal succeeded in taking the lead after the referee awarded a penalty following Theo Hernandez's fall, which Portuguese player Ruben Neves converted into the first goal in the 41st minute.

Before the end of the first half, Al-Taawoun also received a penalty kick, from which Roger Martinez scored the equalizing goal during injury time.

In the second half, Hassan Tambakti suffered another injury, and Ali Lajami came in as a substitute. Meanwhile, Al-Hilal intensified their efforts in search of a winning goal, but to no avail against the solid defense of Al-Taawoun.

With this result, Al-Hilal raised its tally to 55 points in third place, while Al-Taawoun reached 40 points in fifth place, intensifying the battle at the top of the standings.
