The referees committee of the Egyptian Football Association is inclined to assign the upcoming match between Zamalek and Pyramids, scheduled for next Sunday as part of the 20th round of the Egyptian League, to a local refereeing team.

According to Al-Watan newspaper, the match will be officiated by an Egyptian team, as neither club has officially requested foreign referees to manage the anticipated encounter.

Zamalek secured a 2-0 victory over Haras El Hodood in the previous round and is preparing to face Zed tomorrow as part of the 19th round of the competition.

Zamalek holds the second place in the league standings with 34 points, level on points with Pyramids in third place but ahead on goal difference, which makes Sunday's match highly significant in the battle for the top spot.
