Al Ahly is close to regaining the services of its star Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet this week, after he recovered from a hamstring tear that kept him out of recent matches.

According to what was reported by Al-Youm Al-Sabea newspaper, Trezeguet will join the team's training after the match against Smouha, scheduled for this evening as part of the 19th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

The newspaper explained that the medical team at Al-Ahly has set up a special rehabilitation program for the player, in preparation for his return to group training in the coming days, to get him ready for official participation.

Al Ahly is preparing to face Zed next Saturday in the twentieth round of the league. The team is currently in fourth place with 33 points after 18 rounds. In the previous round, they won against El Gouna with a 1-0 victory, with the goal scored by Emam Ashour.
