Al Ahly officials rejected the idea of freezing Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng after he confirmed his unwillingness to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the current season.

According to "Youm7" newspaper, Danish coach Jes Thorup of Al Ahly expressed his rejection of the idea, affirming that Dieng is a key player for the team and his abilities should be utilized until the end of the season, a stance fully supported by the management.

The source indicated that Torop admires Dieng's dedication and enthusiasm on the field, as the player performs with seriousness and high spirit despite his decision to leave the club at the end of the season, after rejecting all offers made to him by Al Ahly.

The player had signed preliminary contracts with Valencia for three years for $1.3 million, in preparation for joining the Spanish team as a free transfer next summer.
