Liverpool has shown interest in signing the young Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall from Tottenham Hotspur to strengthen their midfield before the next season, according to 'TEAMtalk'.

Bergvall emerged after his transfer from Brommapojkarna to Djurgårdens IF in Sweden in 2023, attracting interest from several European clubs before Tottenham secured a deal worth £8.5 million in July 2024. He is considered one of the most promising midfielders in the Premier League.

Bergvall is currently valued at around £57 million, despite recovering from an ankle injury. Liverpool and Aston Villa are closely monitoring him, and Tottenham's chief scout described him as a great talent.

Liverpool is also monitoring defender Lucas Vuskovic, on loan to Hamburg, and Micky van de Ven to bolster their defense, amid competition from major clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

These moves come amid Tottenham's declining performance this season, as the team ranks sixteenth in the Premier League, which may facilitate the chances of signing their young players.
