The young forward Hamza Abdel Karim, who recently joined Barcelona Athletic on loan from Al Ahly of Egypt, returned to his home country of Egypt recently to complete the procedures for obtaining a work permit and official documents that would qualify him to officially play with the Catalan team, according to Mundo Deportivo newspaper.

Abdul Karim had started training with his teammates in the Barcelona Athletic team since the beginning of February, but administrative and bureaucratic issues had not yet been resolved, prompting the club and the player to find this path to expedite matters.

The player is expected to first participate with the "Juvenil A" youth team to accumulate playing minutes, so he becomes ready to appear with Barcelona Athletic in official competitions, in a similar step to what happened with other players who faced similar issues in the past.

Abdul Karim joins on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy in the summer, amid expectations that he will be one of the young talents who can strengthen the Catalan team's ranks in the future.
