The newspaper "Al-Youm Al-Sabea" reported that Al-Ahly officials will hold a meeting with Al-Ahly star Hussein El Shahat to decide his future with the team and finalize the renewal of his contract with the Reds.

The newspaper added that Walid Salah El-Din, the football director at Al-Ahly, announced that Hussein El-Shahat would continue with the team until the end of the season while the process of renewing his contract with the club is finalized.

It was clarified that no agreement has been reached between Al Ahly's management and El Shahat for renewal so far, due to the player's rejection of the financial offer presented by the Red Castle officials.

Al Ahly is currently preparing to face its counterpart Smouha next Monday in the 19th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
