The Spanish Football Federation has decided to appoint referee Javier Alberola Rojas to manage the match between Barcelona and Levante, on Sunday at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium at 5:15 PM Cairo time. Alberola Rojas is considered one of the prominent referees in La Liga.

Alberola Rojas has previously managed two matches for Barca this season, the first away against Celta Vigo where the team won 4-2, and the second against Villarreal where Barcelona won 2-0. He has an overall record with Barca of 12 matches including nine wins, two draws, and one loss against Real Sociedad.

As for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), Jorge Figueroa Vázquez will be responsible for the review, having previously canceled a goal for Robert Lewandowski in the match between Rayo Vallecano and Barcelona.

Since January 1, Alberola Rojas has been promoted to the first group in UEFA refereeing, alongside prominent referees like Ricardo de Burgos and Juan Martínez Munuera. Sunday's match will be his fourteenth this season.
