The Air Force team clinched the Baghdad capital derby with a valuable victory over Al-Talaba with a score of 2-1, in the match held at the International City Stadium in Baghdad. The match witnessed a distinguished and large crowd, as the Baghdad audience was on time to provide great support for their teams.

The Air Force started the match strongly, scoring the first goal in the 5th minute through Omani player Issam Al-Subhi, giving the Falcons an early lead. Thus, the first half ended with the Air Force leading by one clean goal.

At the start of the second half, Al-Talaba tried to return to the match again, but the Air Force defense was outstanding, as was goalkeeper Mohammed Saleh, who delivered a great performance. In the 81st minute, the Air Force added the second goal through Mohammed Jawad, securing the lead and the result for the Falcons.

In the 90+10 minute of injury time, Al-Talaba managed to score a goal to narrow the gap through Alaa Abdul-Zahra. With this, referee Youssef Saeed blew the final whistle, announcing the Air Force's valuable victory over Al-Talaba with a score of 2-1.

With this victory, the Air Force reached 43 points, maintaining the top of the rankings, while Al-Talaba's balance froze at 34 in fourth place.
