U.S. President Donald Trump claimed the launch of a $75 million financial fund, in partnership with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), aimed at reviving sports activities, particularly football, in the Gaza Strip following the destruction caused by recent conflicts in the region.

Trump clarified that the funding will be allocated for building stadiums and developing sports infrastructure, including the construction of 50 small FIFA Arena-type stadiums and 5 full-sized stadiums in various provinces of Gaza, in addition to a training academy with international standards and a national stadium with a capacity of 20,000 spectators.

The American president highlighted the importance of the project in restoring hope to children and youth in Gaza, emphasizing that football will become a tool for social communication and promoting peace. Meanwhile, FIFA President Gianni Infantino described this initiative as a historic partnership contributing to reconstruction and stability through sports.

For its part, the sports community welcomed the initiative, considering that supporting football in affected areas represents an effective step towards restoring normal life to local communities and providing young people with the opportunity to practice sports and develop their talents in a safe environment.
