Former Al-Nassr Player Reveals Stunning Surprise About Ronaldo and Ramadan
Former Al-Nassr player Shayea Sharahili revealed important details about the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo and his experience with fasting during the month of Ramadan.
Sharhili explained during his talk with the "Thamanyah" channel that Ronaldo experienced fasting for two consecutive days last season, as he wanted to live the atmosphere that players experience during the holy month.
He explained that the Portuguese star wanted to practically understand the impact of fasting on physical and mental aspects, to experience what his teammates go through during training and matches.
Sharhili pointed out that the Saudi player is accustomed to the atmosphere of Ramadan and is not significantly affected by the change in schedules, whereas the foreign player finds it more challenging due to differences in sleep patterns and lifestyle.
He added that holding matches at 10 PM instead of 8 PM affects the daily routine of foreigners, especially concerning sleep hours and recovery after the games.
It is noted that Shaya Sharahili was promoted to the first team at Al-Nassr during the 2009/2010 season, before moving to Al-Qadisiyah in the 2017/2018 season, and then having another stint with Al-Faisaly for two seasons starting from 2020/2021.
