Al-Ahli turned the tables on Al-Najma and achieved a significant 4-1 victory in the 23rd round match of the Saudi Roshan League at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.

Al-Ahli entered the match with a lineup that included Edouard Mendy, Zakaria Hawsawi, Roger Ibanez, Ryan Hamid, Ali Majrashi, Valentin Atangana, Franck Kessié, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Galeno, Ivan Toney, and Riyad Mahrez.

The star team surprised the home side with an opening goal scored by Lazaro in the 27th minute, after he outmaneuvered the defense and shot a precise ball that settled into the net past goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Toni missed the chance to equalize in the 37th minute after goalkeeper Victor Braga saved a penalty, ending the first half with the visitors leading 1-0.

As the second half began, Valentin Atangana equalized in the 48th minute after a precise pass from Mahrez, before Mendy denied his opponent a second goal with an outstanding save against Bilal Boutobba's shot.

Tony exploded in scoring, netting the lead goal in the 69th minute assisted by Mahrez, then added the third from a Gonçalves cross in the 87th minute, before completing the hat-trick with a penalty kick, sealing the victory.

With this result, Al-Ahly raised its tally to 53 points in second place, equal with the leading team Al-Hilal, while Al-Najma's tally remained at 8 points at the bottom of the standings.
