Villarreal secured an important away victory against their host Levante with a 1-0 win in the match held last night at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia as part of the Spanish league competition.

The only goal of the match was scored by player Georges Mikautadze in the 57th minute, taking advantage of a pass from his teammate Nicolas Pépé, to secure three points for his team and lead them to a higher position in the league standings.

With this victory, Villarreal strengthened its position in third place, boosting its hopes of competing for the Champions League qualifying spots next season, after the team displayed a cohesive performance and solid defense against Levante's persistent attempts to equalize.
