Ahmed Diab, the President of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, revealed the features of a new project aimed at developing the football system in Egypt by merging popular clubs with institutional clubs, achieving greater stability and balance within the competition.

Diab explained that there is a clear plan aimed at creating a more organized model that serves the interests of Egyptian football. He noted that the idea was discussed within the Youth and Sports Committee of the House of Representatives and was also explored with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi. Further discussions are set to continue in the coming period with Captain Jawhar Nabil.

He pointed out that the proposed project is not limited to Premier League clubs but extends to include professional and second division clubs, as part of a comprehensive vision to reorganize competitions and enhance administrative and technical aspects.

The president of the Clubs Association confirmed that the results of the project might appear within one or two seasons if implemented, expecting a strong return of popular clubs to the competitive circle in the league.

Diab concluded his statements by emphasizing that Egypt possesses good infrastructure and excellent stadiums. However, the current phase requires more organization and coordination to ensure full utilization of these capabilities and to provide fair access to stadiums for all clubs.
