Zalzouli Approaches Breaking a Record in the Transfer Market
Tuesday 17-02-2026
The Moroccan international Abdel Samad Zalzouli continues to deliver impressive performances with Real Betis this season, as his role on the field has evolved from a winger relying on skill and dribbling to a decisive player in front of the goal.

Zalzouli scored 9 goals in 25 matches this season, the same number of goals he scored last season but in 49 matches, reflecting a clear improvement in his offensive effectiveness. His total goal contributions reached 15, surpassing his previous tally of 14.

The last two rounds of the Spanish league witnessed his decisive impact, as he contributed to the victory over Real Mallorca with a 2-1 result, then scored the winning goal against Atletico Madrid with a 1-0 result, confirming his importance in the team's lineup.

According to Spanish reports, clubs from the English Premier League are closely monitoring the player, in anticipation of potentially entering a race to sign him in the summer of 2026. This deal could surpass the record for the highest sale in Real Betis' history, currently held by Argentine Giovani Lo Celso at 32 million euros.

It is noted that Abde Ezzalzouli joined Real Betis in the summer of 2023 from Barcelona for 7.5 million euros, with the Catalan club retaining a resale percentage that was later reduced to 20 percent. Media reports also praised the role played by coach Manuel Pellegrini in the player's performance development and in giving him confidence within the team.
