Bold Decision by Jesus Regarding Al-Nassr Youth Before the Arkadag Match
The Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Al-Nassr enlisted six players from the under-21 team to support the "Global" squad ahead of the match against Arkadag in the AFC Champions League 2.
Al-Nassr will host its counterpart Arkadag on Wednesday at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh, as part of the second leg of the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League 2.
The sports newspaper clarified that Jesus included six promising names in the group training on Monday evening, with the aim of enhancing tactical options before the upcoming continental match.
Abdel Malik Al-Jaber, Rakan Al-Ghamdi, Saad Haqwi, Awad Aman, Haider Abdul Karim, and Mubarak Al-Buainain all participated in the training session as part of the final preparations for the match.
Al-Nassr had secured a win in the first leg away from home with a 1-0 score, thanks to a goal by Abdullah Al-Hamdan, giving the team a slight advantage before the return match.
Al-Nassr only needs a win or a draw to secure qualification to the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League 2, with the kick-off scheduled for 9:15 PM Saudi time.
