Al Ahly club qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Champions League without any losses, following a goalless draw against the Royal Army in the last round of the group stage at the Cairo International Stadium, affirming the Red's continental strength this season.

This achievement brings to mind the seasons of 2005, 2008, and 2024, when Al Ahly succeeded in winning the title after advancing through the group stage without a defeat. This boosts the hopes of its fans for clinching the cup for the thirteenth time in its history and continuing its dominance in the tournament, where it holds the record with 12 titles.

Al Ahly won the last edition in 2024, but exited the tournament last season in the semi-finals against Mamelodi Sundowns after drawing both home and away and being eliminated on away goals. This season, they made a strong comeback, topping their group with 10 points, one point ahead of AS FAR.

The quarter-final draw is expected to take place in the city of Sixth of October, where Al Ahly might face one of the top clubs such as Tunisian Esperance Sportive, Renaissance Berkane, or Mamelodi Sundowns, in an anticipated match next month that will shape their path towards the title.
