The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided to refer the incidents that occurred during the match between Egypt's Al Ahly and Morocco's Royal Army to the Disciplinary Committee for investigation.

The match between Al Ahly and FAR Rabat, which took place yesterday, Sunday, in the sixth round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League, ended in a 0-0 draw, allowing both teams to qualify together for the quarter-finals of the tournament.

During the match, Al-Ahly fans excessively threw some projectiles and empty water bottles at the Royal Army fans.

CAF issued an official statement on Monday condemning these events and describing them as "unacceptable," confirming that it has referred the entire file to the disciplinary committee to take the appropriate legal actions against those responsible for these violations.
